ABB IRB120 robot with IRC5 controller
ABB's smallest universal industrial robot, weighing 25 kg, can manipulate payloads up to 3 kg (up to 4 kg if the wrist is only vertical) with a reach of up to 580 mm. The IRB120 is a cost-effective and reliable solution that delivers significant increases in production efficiency at a low cost.
The robotic station is equipped with:
- digital I/O signal generators,
- DeviceNet Master/Slave card,
- PROFINET IO Slave communication module,
- systems: Motion Supervision, SoftMove, World Zones, Path Recovery, Multitasking, Flexpendant Interface, PC Interface.
ABB IRB1200 robot with IRC5 compact II generation controller and control panel
An industrial robot with a payload of up to 5 kg and a reach of 900 mm, suitable for handling, reloading, and machine tending tasks. Easy to deploy and use, with a compact design, reduced cycle times, and a large operating range.
The robotic station is equipped with:
-
- 15'' button panel,
- Siemens HMI operator panel,
- independent pneumatic installation,
- PLC S7 - 1200 logic controller with additional I/O module 16 inputs / 15 outputs,
- DeviceNet Master/Slave card,
- systems: Motion Supervision, World Zones, Path Recovery, Multitasking, Flexpendant Interface, PC Interface, Integrated Vision.
ABB IRB2400 robot with IRC5 controller
We also provide our trainees with the versatile ABB IRB2400 robot. In industrial processes, it's most commonly used for arc welding, cutting, deburring, die-casting, gluing, sealing, grinding, polishing, machine operating, and handling. It utilizes the latest ABB IRC5 controller.
The IRB 2400 offers enormous potential for robotic process automation, where maintaining high process efficiency while maintaining position repeatability of 0.03 mm despite significant additional load. The robot can also operate in hazardous environments thanks to its IP54 protection class.
The robotic station is equipped with:
- digital I/O signal generators,
- DeviceNet Master/Slave card,
- Profinet IO Slave and Profibus communication module,
- systems: Motion Supervision, World Zones, Path Recovery, Multitasking, Flexpendant Interface, PC Interface, Integrated Vision.
The robot can also work in hazardous environments thanks to its IP54 protection class.
ABB IRB6640 robot with IRC5 controller
The largest robot available in our lab weighs nearly 1,5 tons and has a payload capacity of 130 kg. The robot's reach is 3,2 meters, allowing students who routinely work with larger robots to learn in conditions similar to their work environment.
The robotic station is equipped with:
- digital I/O signal generators
- DeviceNet Master/Slave card
- PROFINET IO Slave communication module, Profibus Master/Slave
- systems: Motion Supervision, SoftMove, World Zones, Path Recovery, Collision Detection, Multitasking, Flexpendant Interface, PC Interface
Software Systems - Legend
-
- World Zones Controller software allows the robot to define, for example, a cubic zone, upon leaving which it will generate a signal, for example, on an I/O card. Software useful for defining a so-called home position.
- Path Recovery Controller software enables path retracing upon error. If a specific error occurs (e.g., arc ignition), the robot pauses until the error is resolved and then resumes where it left off.
- multitasking Controller software allows for multiple tasks to be run—so-called multithreading. For example, one task handles robot movements, while a second, independent task handles input and output cards, acting like a simple PLC.
- Flexpendant Interface Possibility to create graphical operator screens on the FlexPendant screen.
- SoftMove Controller software that allows you to define the static and dynamic stiffness of the robot – the robot can react like a spring or be subjected to an external force
- PC Interface Software – a controller option enabling communication via an ETHERNET port, for example, with a PC. Useful for integrating the robot with vision systems.
- Medium res. Camera + lens of your choice (8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 24 mm) Cognex Insight 7200 Series Camera
- Vision interface The camera system is based on the Cognex In-Sight® 7000 Series, but any Cognex In-Sight® camera can be connected. The camera is powered by 24 VDC. The camera system features IP67 protection, an M12 autofocus lens, and a built-in flash. Up to three cameras can be connected to the Ethernet switch simultaneously.
- Motion Supervision The controller's collision detection software has programmable sensitivity. Upon detecting a collision, the robot stops and then reverses.
