Training objectives

After completing the training, the participant:
  • Knows the programming method of commercially available AVR and ARM microcontrollers
  • Has knowledge about the advantages and disadvantages of two free environments for programming AVR and ARM microcontrollers
  • Knows the Arduino and AVR-GCC libraries, from basic microcontroller control commands to structures ensuring multithreaded system operation
  • Has knowledge of Atmel Studio software, which is an alternative to the Arduino platform
  • Has knowledge of programming Arduino platforms for ARM, as well as the ZL3AVR kit and Atmel Studio software
  • Can select the appropriate programming platform and the systems that work with it for a specific application

By requirements

  • Computer operation.
  • Ability to program in C (optionally in ANSI C standard).
  • Basic knowledge of programming in C++ and/or C# is desirable (optional).

Training program

1. Basic terminology in the field of control systems (signals, logic, microcontroller architecture, data recording methods, microprocessor operation)
2. Basic principles of operation of microcontrollers and commercially available programming platforms (including those compatible with Arduino libraries)
3. The concept of an Embedded System
4. Microcontroller programming methods
5. Microcontroller program structure, program compilation steps
