We work on the following equipment:
The training rooms and laboratories are air-conditioned, large, and spacious. The student workstations are expertly equipped. Each participant has a dedicated workstation dedicated to learning and solving tasks based on industrial communication networks. Multi-element sets enable the creation of complex networks and allow for tasks and exercises covering a wide range of topics.
Network stations, thanks to their diversity and design based on devices from multiple manufacturers, allow participants to familiarize themselves with various methods of configuring and diagnosing different types of network components during exercises. The stations consist of the following components:
SIMATIC S7-1500T technology units are controllers that have been extended with the possibility of using advanced drive control functions:
Connecting devices via the PROFINET interface enables easy diagnostics and quick error detection, minimizing downtime. Interoperability with SINAMICS servo drives (e.g., SINAMICS S110, S120, and V90 with PROFINET interface) allows for the implementation of automation tasks using advanced drive functions. Device programming and configuration can be performed entirely within the TIA Portal environment.
The servo drive system consists of a SINAMICS V90 converter and a SIMOTICS S-FL6 servo motor. This system can communicate with the controller using PTI, PROFINET, USS, and Modbus RTU. The SINAMICS V90 servo drive system enables cost-effective and convenient implementation of motion control applications.
SIMOTICS S-1FL6 - Synchronous motors with permanent magnets. The motors are naturally cooled, dissipating heat across their entire surface. Motor installation is quick and easy thanks to screw-on cable connectors or quick-release connectors. The motors have a 300% overload capacity and are compatible with SINAMICS V90 converters. Together with SINAMICS V90, the SIMOTICS S-1FL6 constitutes a powerful and functional drive system.
SINAMICS V90 It was designed to meet the requirements of basic servo applications. Configuring the SINAMICS V90 drive is very simple – it's based on the plug-and-play principle. Furthermore, the SINAMICS V90 can be quickly integrated into a SIMATIC PLC control system, ensuring high system reliability. The complete drive system consists of a SINAMICS V90 converter and a SIMOTICS S-1FL6 servo motor.
The Pepper-Fuchs PXV positioning system features a 120 mm x 80 mm scan field. The sensor reads up to five Data Matrix codes in a single read operation. The reader collects the information contained in the codes and then calculates the precise position relative to the camera center.
Using Data Matrix codes as information carriers enables redundant data mapping. Thanks to this multiple redundancy, the PXV system is highly resistant to interference. Even if one of the Data Matrix codes becomes dirty or damaged and only some parts are readable, the PXV system ensures reliable absolute positioning at all times.
SIMATIC ET 200S is a multifunctional I/O system with IP20 protection that can be perfectly adapted to automation tasks. Interface modules with integrated CPU and PROFINET/PROFIBUS connection are available in both standard and safety versions. The bit-modular ET 200S offers a comprehensive range of modules, including power supplies, digital or analog input and output modules, technology modules, IO-Link masters, motor starters, and pneumatic interfaces. Thanks to its robust design, the ET 200S can also be used under high mechanical loads.
Due to the separation of mechanics and electronics, permanent wiring is possible, for example, the station can be wired prior to installation or commissioning. This allows the wiring to be controlled without the electronic modules, preventing damage to sensitive components. This reduces commissioning time. In the event of a failure, modules can be replaced without the need for time-consuming wiring.
A push-button operator panel designed for the PROFINET environment. The panel features eight large, ergonomic buttons that can be backlit in five different colors. The buttons have a tactile feedback (click), allowing the panels to be operated even while wearing gloves. Five backlight colors (blue, green, red, yellow, and white) can be assigned to the buttons, and their brightness can be adjusted – these functions are accessible via the STEP 7 software. Eight input/output connectors are available on the rear panel, allowing for the connection of additional control system components.
The KP8F can be connected to two controllers at the same time thanks to the function PROFINET Shared DeviceThe design of the panels allows for side-by-side installation without visible gaps. The built-in Ethernet switch allows for connecting panels in a linear topology, and the 24V DC power supply can be connected through a loop-through connection. The design of the push-button panels is ideal for mounting on expansion units for HMI PRO devices (with full IP65 enclosure).
SCALANCE X-204 IRT The isochronous REAL TIME module is designed to create networks based on isochronous operation in real-time mode in line, star, and ring topologies at 10/100 Mbps. These types of networks are used, among others, in the PROFINET standard. The SCALANCE X204 IRT is equipped with four RJ45 electrical ports.
During the classes, we use professional tools to properly splice cables and RJ45 plugs.
PROFINET II measuring adapter (PNMA II) serves as an access point for PROFINET and other Ethernet-based networks in production environments. It can be used during production without interrupting operations. Permanent installation of the adapter between the automation device (SPC) and the first switch is recommended, as the majority of messages typically converge on this connection. Therefore, the device has two network ports. Two monitoring ports (monitor M1 and M2) are available for connecting a diagnostic tool (PN-INspektor®). This allows for parallel analysis in both communication directions. The tool is connected to the monitoring ports via two network cables. To analyze and evaluate measurement results, signals from both directions can be processed according to the timeline. Erroneous signals are not rejected by the PNMA II but are forwarded.
PROFINET-INspector NT This is an important diagnostic tool for certifying, commissioning, and inspecting newly installed PROFINET networks. Depending on the user's settings, events are recorded, aggregated, and stored in the PROFINET-INspektor diagnostic tool. INspektor detects parameters reflecting the current connection quality, such as network load, data throughput, refresh rate, and packet gaps and jitter. These parameters serve as commissioning and inspection criteria for newly installed networks, and also provide important information for maintenance and remote service. Thanks to the built-in web server, network status can be displayed without the need to install additional software on any computer with a web browser.
PROFINET PROmesh P9 It is a fully PROFINET switch and meets Class B requirements. The device can be integrated, for example, with Step7 or the TIA Portal, enabling comprehensive network diagnostics. The PROmesh P9 features optimized shielding contacts in the RJ45 port and a leakage current monitor. In addition to meeting PROFINET requirements, the switch also complies with industry standards for EMC. Therefore, the PROmesh P9 device can be used in the presence of strong EM fields. It also offers numerous useful packet management features, such as IGMP, VLAN, QoS, and SNMP. The switch also features bandwidth management and email alerts.
