Training objectives

After completing the training, the participant:
  • Familiarizing yourself with the user interface.
  • Acquiring the ability to create advanced virtual spatial models using the Sketch function and modeling with solids.
  • Acquiring specific skills consolidated by many hours of practical exercises.
  • Learn about the structure, navigation principles, 3D modeling principles, and the basics of creating assemblies and documentation,
  • Gain practical skills after many hours of modeling exercises and using the presented tools and functions,
  • You will learn how to navigate in 2D and 3D environments,
  • You will acquire skills in configuring and personalizing your work environment,
  • You will learn how to draw geometric elements on a flat surface (SKETCH tool) and then create 3D elements from it,
  • You will learn to model 3D elements using solids,
  • You will learn how to assign constraints and relationships between elements in assemblies,
  • You will learn how to go to the drafting module and create your first manufacturing and assembly drawing in Solid Edge, along with all the markings.

  • Working in various program environments (modeling parts, assemblies, flat documentation).

  • Creating documents, saving, completing work.

2. Drawing on a plane - Draft module, Sketchpad
  • Colors Sheet formats and background sheets.
  • Drawing commands.
  • Line and hatch styles.
  • Cropping and stretching elements.
  • Rounding and chamfering corners.
  • Offset and symmetrical offset.
  • Fill (hatching).
  • Move and copy, rotate, mirror.
  • Selection tool options.
  • Dimensioning and describing a drawing.

Our laboratory

The training rooms and laboratories are equipped with powerful computers, air conditioning, and teaching aids. Each participant has access to a computer station with the latest versions of SolidEdge installed. Additionally, each computer is connected to a 3D printer. The use of individual printers allows participants to make ongoing test prints of their prototype models. This is a perfect combination of CAD modeling and prototype production.
