Software
Step 7 software with a tool for operating drives and motion controllers - Simotion Scout.
The SIMOTION software offers a choice of different programming languages:
- graphic with Motion Control Chart (MCC)
- most commonly used in PLCs using ladder logic (LAD)
- function block diagram (FBD)
- Structure Text (ST)
All parameterization is performed graphically: configuration, programming, testing, and commissioning. The software also offers intuitive operation, context-sensitive help, and automatic, consistent checking to simplify work.
In SIMOTION, motion tasks are solved consistently, regardless of machine type, and in a simple manner. To achieve this, a multi-layer architecture has been integrated into a runtime system. SIMOTION-SCOUT offers PLC-like functionality, programming according to IEC 6113-3, and CAM control. Basic functionality can also be expanded with technology kits and function libraries.
The technological structure of the project includes:

Andrzej Kasprzycki, M.Sc. Eng.
An automation expert with over 20 years of experience in commissioning extensive industrial automation installations and maintaining large production lines, including the first PCS7 installation in Poland. A graduate of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics, and Computer Science at the Silesian University of Technology.
In his professional career, he is a PLC and SCADA programmer with extensive experience in complex projects and automation system modernization. He is also a teaching-oriented trainer who has been training junior staff for over 10 years, imparting extensive professional knowledge.
He specializes in SIEMENS products and systems, including Simatic S7 300/400, Simatic STEP 7, TIA Portal, ProTool, PCS7, WinCC Flexible, WinCC, WinCC Professional, Micromaster, and Sinamics S and G drives. Due to his experience, he has authored numerous excellent documentation and training programs, and the training courses he conducts are particularly well-received by students.
