Each training participant has an individual training station at their disposal, intended for learning tasks and industrial solutions based on the use of the controller. Siemens S7-1200The training station consists of a controller equipped with digital and analog input/output modules connected to a digital and analog signal simulator. Additionally, each controller is connected to an execution station containing a valve terminal, double-acting actuators, an incremental encoder, a motor, and a frequency converter, allowing trainees to configure, commission, and operate real-world components used in industry.

The training station for each course participant consists of:

• working memory 150kB
• 14 digital inputs (inputs can work as fast 100kHz/30kHz counters)
• 10 digital outputs (outputs can work as fast 100 kHz/20 kHz pulse outputs)
• 2 analog inputs with voltage standard 0-10V
• integrated ETHERNET - PROFINET
• Each controller has an additional SB1232 signal board containing one 0-10V analog voltage output with a resolution of 12 bits

Additionally, the controller is equipped with a controller containing:

• 6 buttons for input signals
• potentiometer adjusting the analog input voltage range
• analog input voltage value display
• analog output voltage value display

The stations enable exercises based on real-world components used in industrial automation. In the near future, we plan to expand the stations with various sensor sets (optical, inductive, capacitive, pressure, and flow) as well as frequency converters and electric motors.

SIEMENS TIA Portal V19 is the next version of the integrated design environment that supports solving engineering tasks by including all the necessary software packages in one place:

• STEP7 for programming PLC controllers,
• WinCC for creating visualizations for HMI operator panels and SCADA systems,
• STEP7 Safety for preparing a safety program,
• Startdrive for operating SINAMICS series drive units,
• And many others, such as SiVArc and TestSuite.
