Programming the OMRON NX102 in Sysmac Studio – Level 2
Course Objective
After completing the training, the participant:- Uses advanced I/O module configuration techniques and indirect variable addressing
- Creates and uses complex data structures (multidimensional arrays, nested structures, pointers)
- Programs in ST using extended instructions and combines them with Ladder Diagram
- Builds applications using advanced function blocks and user libraries (PID, filters, mathematical and timing operations)
- Configures and implements controller communication using FINS, Modbus/TCP, and Ethernet/IP protocols
- Implements Motion Control: axis configuration, PLCopen Motion functions, motion synchronization in single- and multi-axis systems
- Manages driver tasks, optimizes CPU load, and uses enhanced debugging tools
- Creates advanced HMI applications: Popup Pages, Alarms, Recipes, Data Logging, Trends
- Configures remote access to HMI and PLC (VNC, HMI Viewer) and communicates the PLC with databases
- Implements advanced communication functions (OPC UA, MQTT) and implements comprehensive PLC + HMI + Motion Control applications

Laboratory equipment
Our laboratories have modern equipment based on industry standards supplied by recognized manufacturers.
During the OMR2 training, we provide individual access to devices for each participant:
OMRON NX102-1120 controller:
- 1 EtherNet/IP port + 1 EtherCAT port.
- Support for up to 8 axes of motion via EtherCAT.
- High speed of processing logical instructions.
- Program memory: approx. 40 MB (depending on configuration).
- EtherCAT – real-time network for servo drives, I/O and safety modules.
- Ethernet/IP – communication with controllers, HMI, robots and MES/ERP systems.
- Protocol support: OPC UA, MQTT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP.
- 2 USB ports (for programming and servicing).
- Built-in safety mechanisms – Safety over EtherCAT (with additional NX-S controllers).
- Ability to collect production data and send it directly to SQL databases, servers and cloud systems.
- Integration with OMRON vision systems and robots.

Sysmac Studio is OMRON's integrated engineering environment (IDE), designed for machine and production automation systems.
