day 1	Basic principles of network operation in the ETHERNET standard. Ethernet – a historical outline. Standard Ethernet, CSMA/CD, Switched Ethernet. Ethernet-based industrial networks and protocols. Transmission media. ISO/OSI network model. The layered network model in practice. What are layers and why do we talk about layer two and three devices (L2, L3). Ethernet communication. Ethernet frame structure, MAC addresses. Straight cable, crossover cable, Auto MDI-X. Auto-negotiation of whether and when to use. Unicast, broadcast, multicast – practical applications. Quality parameters, throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss. Layer 3 (L3) communication. IP protocol, IP address, mask. IP packet construction. Basics of static and dynamic routing. Transport layer protocols. (L4). TCP connection protocol. UDP connectionless protocol. Ports and sockets. Application layer (L7) protocols. DHCP protocol. Operation and basic options of the DHCP protocol. DHCP protocol in an industrial network – should it be used?
day 2	Workshop 1 – basics of configuring managed LAN switches. Connecting the power supply and starting the switch for the first time. Switch management (console, graphical interface, command interface, tools). Overview of possible configuration functions. Changing the switch IP address. DHCP configuration. Checking the MAC address, viewing the ARP table. Checking port status. Changing port settings. Redundancy in Ethernet. STP and RSTP protocols. Ring protocols on the example of RSTP. LAG and LACP link aggregation. Dual homing. Workshop 2 – building redundant connections. RSTP configuration. FRNT configuration. Creating aggregated connections between switches. Network segmentation using VLANs. VLANs not tagged. 802.1q tagged VLANs. Workshop 3 – network division using VLANs. Configuring VLANs on ports. Routing between VLANs. Configuring trunks with tagged VLANs.
day 3	Basics of filtering network traffic using a firewall. Workshop 4 – Configuring Firewall Rules. Creating rules based on IP addresses and services. Testing the effectiveness of the implemented network security measures. NAT address translation and port forwarding. Workshop 5 – Configure NAT and port forwarding. Media converters used in industrial transmission. Introduction to DSL technology. Workshop 6 – Configuring Ethernet – DSL converters. Wireless communication in industrial networks. WiFi network - 2,4GHz and 5GHz. Wireless communication based on the GPRS/2G/3G/4G/LTE operator network. Antenna installations, solution selection, protection and optimization. Workshop 7 – Configuring Wi-Fi devices. Workshop 8 – configuring remote access via LTE.
day 4	Basics of network management and diagnostics. SNMP protocol – monitoring and diagnostics. Diagnostics and management using publicly available tools. LLDP – a mechanism for discovering devices on the network. An example of using manufacturer tools to manage device configuration. Workshop 9 – Troubleshooting Network Problems. Modern transport networks based on Ethernet on the example of MPLS-TP technology. Questions and Answers.

The training rooms and laboratories are air-conditioned, large, and spacious. Student workstations are specially equipped.

Each training participant has at their disposal a station intended for learning and solving tasks based on industrial ETHERNET communication networks.

The sets enable the creation of extensive networks and allow for the performance of tasks and exercises on a wide range of topics.
