Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
ISO-ASME/GD&T with coordinate techniques
Course objective:
After completing the training, the participant:- Knows and understands the structure of the GPS (Geometrical Product Specification) and ASME standards
- Knows the differences between ISO and ASME standards in terms of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Knows the symbols used in geometric tolerancing according to ISO and ASME standards
- Can read and interpret geometric and dimensional tolerance symbols on technical drawings
- Understands the consequences of tolerance errors on the assembleability and functionality of manufactured components
- Knows the principles of Coordinate Measuring Technology (CMT)
- Understands the methodology for preparing measurements on a Coordinate Measuring Machine
- Understands the basics of measuring using a measuring arm

Laboratory equipment
The training rooms and laboratories are air-conditioned, large, and spacious. The student workstations are expertly equipped. Participants have access to tools used in workshop metrology, as well as a coordinate measuring machine and a measuring arm.
Tools used during courses
Training participants have at their disposal tools used in measurements: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, rulers, gauge blocks.
Coordinate measuring machine
ZEISS ACCURA coordinate measuring machine Characteristics of the measurements performed:
- device measuring range: 900x1200x700mm
- measurement uncertainty MPE_P=1.7um
- faster selection of the optimal solution and savings on costly machine retooling thanks to the use of the MASS system (Multi Application System Sensor)
- The MASS system enables the use of both central, active touch scanning heads, a tilt-and-swivel joint with a passive touch scanning head, and an optical scanning head.

Measuring arm
